Speakers
Fred built his first speakers from a kit while still a young teen.
He quickly stopped using kits, but he's never stopped appreciating sound
and building speakers that attempt to replicate live musical
performance. From 1980-2006, he owned and operated The Happy Ear
Stereo, making contacts throughout the home electronics industry and
carrying all sorts of speaker lines--from made-in-the-US Klipsch,
Polk, and Ohm, to the Canadian Sound Dynamics and Paradigm, to
European imports like Jamo, and Japanese models from
Yamaha, Pioneer, and Technics.

When Fred combines his astute ear for musical sound with
his quirky approach to three-dimensional sculpture,
the result is what you see here--custom stereo sound
that looks and sounds amazing!
This god and goddess currently reside in
South Carolina--but not to worry--Fred is crafting another
pair for show in the upcoming East of Asheville Studio Tour.
